Giizhigo-Misameg, the Sky Whale Airship - an idea whose time is coming.

Airships: Airships are an idea whose time is coming.  Barry Prentice, bottom photo, has been advocating the potential of airships for many years.  Today, the first airship built in Manitoba, Giizhigo-Misameg, (meaning Sky Whale) was on display at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Manitoba (top photo).  It will be used as a research  vessel to study the construction and operation of airships in our Manitoba climate and their potential for delivering freight to isolated northern communities.
